UNICOM Intelligence Integration

This page explains the general setup steps required to install and use the DQC Quality Tools with UNICOM Intelligence (Author and Professional). Follow these steps first, then see the product-specific pages for Author and Professional-level instructions.

Prerequisites​

  • Access to an installation of UNICOM Intelligence (Author and/or Professional) where you can add a Gallery/Library item.
  • The "DQC Tools Library Assets" bundle (we'll provide the zip file).

Summary​

  1. Request the DQC Tools Library Assets for your company.
  2. Unzip the DQC Tools Library Assets into the UNICOM Intelligence installation location where your application resides.
  3. Create a Gallery/Library item in Author/Professional using the unzipped folder.
  4. Restart the Author/Professional application and test the gallery item in Author or Professional.
  5. Open your Gallery/Library item in Author/Professional to confirm the DQC Tools are available.

Download the assets​

Download the DQC Tools bundle and unzip it. Example top-level structure when unzipped:

Tutorial: Create a Gallery/Library item​

1. Download your DQC Tools Library Assets bundle and unzip it.​

  1. Download the assets bundle from the link you were provided and unzip it.

2. Check your UNICOM installation path for the appropriate location to save the Gallery/Library item​

3. Paste your unzipped DQC Tools Library Assets folder into your library folder.​

  1. We recommend copying the entire folder into the \Survey Fragments\Website folder because the integration already has the Website tag.
C:\ProgramData\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\7\Author\Library\Survey Fragments\Website
  1. Your files should look like this after copying:
C:\ProgramData\IBM\SPSS\DataCollection\7\Author\Library\Survey Fragments\Website\DQC Tools Library Assets

4. Restart Author/Professional​

  • Restart Author so the gallery/library items are loaded.
  • You do not need to restart the computer or server; just restart the Author or Professional application.
  • Open the Author/Professional application and verify the DQC Tools gallery item is available.

Notes and common troubleshooting​

  • If DQC tools don't appear in the gallery: ensure the gallery path includes all files and you restarted the app.
  • If your Author software is running on an interview server, perform this general setup on the interview server where Author is installed.
